Definition
The Grootbos Experience is a 3 night, 4 day experience crafted by Animarem Group (Pty) Ltd and hosted at the 5 star Grootbos Private Nature Reserve in the Overberg region of the Western Cape. Timings are guided by the check-in and check-out dates and times outlined by the property. The Experience capacity is limited to a maximum of 12 pax for an optimal personal and group experience. Participants are expected to have a sound understanding of, and commitment to, the trip ethos and agenda as outlined.
Liability
The Animarem Experience takes place in a wilderness environment and all guests are obliged to accept the terms outlined by the accommodation provider in respect of risk to property, personal liability, risk of injury or illness, both on and off the reserve, whether under the care of lodge staff or facilitators. A full copy of the accommodation terms and conditions is available upon request, either prior to travel or during check in. Animarem Group (Pty) Ltd adopts no liability for illness, injury or loss of any kind in relation to the trip, including via omission or negligence. Participants accept that every effort has been made to provide the Experience and any information relating thereto, in a responsible, safe and comprehensive manner.
Covid Protocol
In light of the ongoing pandemic, we are obliged to follow the guidance of Government Lockdown levels and the conditions relating thereto. If a mandate is issued that necessitates cancellation or postponement of the Experience, refer to guidance under ‘Cancellation’ below. Operationally, the Experience will be hosted in line with the Covid guest protocols prescribed by Grootbos.
Cancellation
Upon confirmation of attendance, a non-refundable 50% deposit must be paid upon invoice to the Animarem Group (Pty) Ltd. Cancellation for any reason will not see this deposit refunded. The remainder of the total is payable 7 days prior to travel. Failure to pay the full fee prior to arrival may preclude you from participating in the Experience.
Minimum numbers must be met for the Experience to take place. If numbers are not met by 10th November, Animarem Group (Pty) Ltd may, at its own discretion, cancel or postpone the Experience to a later date. In the event of a full cancellation initiated by Animarem, deposits paid are refundable. In the event of a postponement, deposits are transferrable to the future dated trip. Should the attendee cancel within 7 days of travel, the full Experience fee remains payable. We urge travellers to consider travel insurance in light of this. Animarem Group (Pty) Ltd is not a travel agency and will not accept booking liability on behalf of attendees who have confirmed their attendance and paid the initial deposit.
The trip price includes:
Accommodation in a free standing suite at Grootbos Private Nature Reserve on a per couple or shared basis. Travellers are urged to find a partner or colleague to join them on the Experience, failing which an accommodation-sharing partner will be assigned on a same-sex basis wherever possible. All suites will be split into 2 x luxury one bedroom rooms with individual en suite bathrooms for privacy.
All meals at Grootbos, prepared by world class chefs, with fresh and healthy foods in mind.
Mentioned activities in itinerary, including natural experiences and local visits.
The full facilitated leadership experience.
Support from local partners to answer logistical questions and provide suggestions.
Price excludes:
Flights and transfers along with their related expenses, Conservation levy of R75 per person per night, Travel insurance, Gratuities, Alcoholic drinks (we suggest an alcohol free experience) and individual expenses incurred on the property through other amenities or activities not listed in the itinerary, Individual note-taking and writing materials.
All additional personal costs incurred must be settled directly with the service or product provider prior to departure from Grootbos.
Privacy Policy:
By providing your email you are agreeing to receive relevant marketing messages about Animarem Group (Pty) Ltd and Grootbos offerings which you can opt-out of at any time.
The Experience may be documented via still and moving (video) imagery for future promotional purposes. Via your participation you transfer full ownership of all this material to Animarem Group (Pty) Ltd and waive any claim you may have to usage, ownership or depiction in any of the materials produced.
Binding:
All participants acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms outlined herein. While not exhaustive, these terms outline the primary areas of engagement and Animarem Group (Pty) Ltd takes no responsibility for errors or omissions, in law or in factual detail, within this text. These terms and conditions are drafted under South African law and, in the event of dispute, will be settled first via a meeting of the parties, and then via independent Arbitration if no settlement can be reached. Legal fees are for own parties’ account.
